2024/25 SuperLega calendar is official, beginning on 29th September in Cisterna
The calendar for the 80th Serie A1 SuperLega Credem Banca championship (2024/25 season) was made official today. European Champion Itas Trentino will begin its run on 29 September away to Cisterna, while the first home match is scheduled seven days later, Sunday 6 October, at the ilT quotidiano Arena against Taranto. The first two rounds are the same as last season. For the first big match, it will be necessary to wait only until the next round, when Trento will be the guest of Milan, in the remake of the challenge that in April assigned the third place in the Play Off Scudetto 2024. The matches immediately after: against Modena on the fourth day, against Perugia on the fifth, against Piacenza on the eighth, and against Civitanova on the tenth.
The dates: The regular season will take place over a little more than five months, between 29 September and 2 March (date of the last round), without any kind of midweek round; the schedule in fact provides for only one day of matches not included in a normal weekend: the fourteenth round (third of the second leg), scheduled however on a public holiday (Thursday, 26 December) and to be played at home against Milan. The 2024 Supercoppa Italiana, which for the ninth time will adopt the Final Four formula, will be the season's prologue and will be played between Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September; Itas Trentino will once again be among the four participants and will face Mint Vero Volley Monza in the semi-final at the PalaWanny in Florence. The 2025 edition of the Coppa Italia will adopt the traditional formula, also used in the previous season, involving only the first eight classified in the first leg (which ends on 8 December). The quarter-finals, defined according to the rankings obtained after the 11th round of the regular season, will therefore be played in a single match at the home of the best classified on Sunday, 29 December. The Final Four is scheduled for Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January in Bologna.
The first eight classified at the end of the regular season, who will face each other in the quarter-finals, will access the Scudetto Play Offs. Dates and procedures will be announced at a later date.
Here is, in detail, the path that will await Itas Trentino in the regular season, in its twenty-fifth consecutive appearance in the top category, the eleventh called SuperLega. In brackets the date of the first match and the return match.
